There hasn't been a group this FAB since, well, you know . . .

Editor's Note:    Last Day Off is an exciting new group of four guys (aged 17-20 years old) with a great sound.  They are in the process of making it.  We will be following them during their pursuit of fame and fortune.  They sound great, have a lot of positive energy, and are just fun to be around.  Here’s a little about them in their own words.

LDOchrisChris Gomez:    I am the bass player of Last Day Off.   I’ve been friends with Andrew (the drummer) since the eighth grade and I’ve always been close with him and through him Wolf and Jonathan and when I joined the band it was easy to do since we were already friends.  Before joining the band I was taking care of my little brother because my mom really needed help watching him.  I was also going to Harbor Community College to eventually transfer to a real college.  When I was invited to join the band I decided that would be a great experience

LDOwolfWolf Bradley:    I play guitar and sing in Last Day Off.  Ever since I’ve been three I've been performing as a dancer, so I’ve grown up on stage.  Music was a really cool thing because in seventh grade when I saw my first concert and I was blown away, I decided that was what I wanted to do in my life.  I think dance really helped me with that because I was really comfortable on stage and so just constant performing led me to how I got here.

OCS:    Who writes your songs like Mrs. Right?
Wolf:    Andrew and I.  We normally come up with the basic melody and lyrics and then the entire group collaborates to make it a finished product.

LDOjonathanJonathan Barron:    I joined the band through a friend I knew in church who told me about the band.  I tried out for the band and hit it off.   Before the band I was studying music at Cal State Dominguez Hills and was doing a lot of classical stuff on guitar.  Before that I started playing in eighth grade and played with different bands in high school

LDOandrewAndrew Macatrao:    I started dance about seven years ago and that’s how I met Wolf.   I started playing the drums when I was about 12 years old but didn’t take it too seriously until I started playing in the band.  .

OCS:    Last Day Off is your full-time pursuit.  What is a typical day for you?
Wolf :   Andrew lives with me so he's always in the house.  On an average day Jonathan and Chris come to spend the night before we do a gig.  This sometimes poses a problem because we all sleep in the same room talking all night but we managed to get beyond that.  We usually wake up six, drive somewhere in the LA area and play a couple of shows.  The great thing about that is not playing but meeting the fans we just performed for.  On Mondays and Tuesdays, Andrew and I have dance.  We also work with a big band manager and are doing an artist development program, so Andrew and I are constantly writing songs for him that we will record and then come back and practice.  So we’re constantly writing and doing shows, and practicing.  Also we’re in the works of creating a reality show.  The working title is Wolf Bradley’s Last Day Off.  It’s kind of a Ferris Bueller-esque show following a band that’s trying to make it.   We’ve been creating demos with clips done by our friend Matt who is sort of our roadie and is also part of the show.  We’re also doing a 24-hour WebCam on March 5 for our fans.
