If you look through the last few issues you will notice two things.

First, we are surrounded by dozens of extremely talented people.  Each person has a unique journey that even people who know them well professionally didn't even know.  These stories reinforce that the only real path to success is to follow your passion.  It is your unique path.

Second, the subjects of our articles are not just from Orange County.  They are from our larger community of Southern California.  This month, for example, there are stories about people from Temecula, San Diego, and even Utah (from a former Orange County resident that writes about Disneyland.)  From a creative arts perspective, some time back I realized we are a relatively homogenous area, from L.A. to Santa Clarita to San Diego and throughout the Inland Empire.  So our focus should be wider than just Orange County.  I secured the name SoCalShowbiz and am thinking about changing the name of the website to reflect our wider community.

I am also working on new features such as breaking news, master calendars for schools to list their plays and other entertainment offerings, and a showcase of notable student performers and filmmakers.

I invite you to send me contact information about someone you think would make the subject of an interesting story for anywhere in Southern California.  I am also looking for contributing authors to join our growing list of contributors.  You can contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots.
